Settlement Services

SETS – Client Services provides clients with settlement-related information, advice, advocacy, and assistance to access mainstream and other relevant services.Services will be delivered in accordance with a needs-based approach and will align with the 9 priority areas identified in the National Settlement Framework.

The SETS service is a specialist service that works with humanitarian entrants or family stream migrants with low English proficiency who have lived in Australia for less than five years.

The service has qualified and experienced staff who will connect community members with learning and employment programs, provide practical workshops, consult with the community and assist people to settle well in Australia.

The service focuses on identifying people’s talents, building on their skills, developing their confidence and resilience and connecting people to employment and learning opportunities.

We understand that social participation plays an integral role in the development of new arrivals to Australia. This can also improve the economic and personal well-being of individuals and families. We understand that connecting new arrivals to all government services can give them independence and the confidence that support services are always available.
